Windlass Grade 30 5 Gallon Pail of Chain Domestic Proof Coil ISO is a calibrated welded low carbon steel chain manufactured for marine anchor windlass systems and general anchoring applications. The chain is produced to ISO short link dimensions for compatibility with ISO windlass gypsies and is supplied in a 5-gallon pail for convenient storage, handling, and transportation. Available in multiple chain sizes with hot-dip galvanized, zinc plated, or self-color finishes, the chain is proof tested before shipment and is intended for anchoring, mooring, and general marine use. The product is not designed for overhead lifting.

Windlass Grade 30 5 Gallon Pail of Chain Domestic Proof Coil ISO is a calibrated proof coil chain manufactured from low carbon steel using welded short-link construction. The chain conforms to ISO-calibrated dimensions, allowing accurate engagement with compatible anchor windlass gypsies while maintaining smooth deployment and retrieval during anchoring operations.
Grade 30 proof coil chain is commonly used on recreational boats, fishing vessels, pontoons, workboats, and small commercial craft where a calibrated windlass chain is required. The chain is supplied in a 5-gallon pail, providing compact packaging for storage, transportation, and onboard handling. Standard finishes include hot-dip galvanized for marine corrosion protection, zinc plated, and natural finish depending on the operating environment.
Each production batch undergoes proof load testing, dimensional calibration, weld inspection, and visual inspection before shipment. The chain is suitable for anchor systems, mooring lines, dock applications, and general marine service but must not be used for overhead lifting or personnel lifting.

Grade of Chain: NACM (National Association of Chain Manufacturers & ASTM (American Society for Test Materials) classify chains in various grades. The higher the grade, the higher the working load limit for the same size of chain.
Working Load Limit (WLL): (rated capacity) Is the maximum working load that should be applied In direct tension to an undamaged straight length of chain.
Proof Test: (manufacturing test force) Is a term designating the minimum tensile force which has been applied to a chain under a constantly increasing force In direct tension during the manufacturing process. These loads are manufacturing integrity tests and shall not be used as criteria for service or design purpose.
Minimum Breaking Force: The minimum force at which the chain during manufacture has been found by testing to break when a constantly increasing force is applied in direct tension. Breaking force values are not guarantees that all chain segments will endure these loads. This test is a manufacturer’s attribute acceptance test and SHALL NOT be used as criteria for service and design purpose.
Overhead Lifting: The process of lifting that would elevate a freely suspended load to such a position that dropping a load would present a possibility of bodily injury or Property damage.

Name: Windlass Grade 30 5 Gallon Pail of Chain Domestic Proof Coil ISO
MOQ: 100 Meters
Package: 5 Gallon Plastic Pail / Steel Pallet
Manufacturing Standards: Manufactured from welded low carbon steel in accordance with ISO 4565, DIN 766 (where applicable to calibrated dimensions), NACM Grade 30 Proof Coil Chain requirements, ASTM applicable material specifications, ASME B30.26, and OSHA 1910.184 requirements for general-purpose welded chains. The chain is manufactured specifically for anchor windlass and marine anchoring applications and is not intended for overhead lifting.
Testing Standards: Each chain is proof load tested, dimensionally calibrated, visually inspected, and weld inspected before shipment. Mechanical property verification, chain pitch inspection, coating inspection (for galvanized products), and production traceability are completed for each manufacturing batch. Working Load Limits are established in accordance with the applicable Grade 30 chain requirements, and inspection records are available upon request.
Application Standards: Suitable for anchor windlass systems, recreational boats, yachts, fishing vessels, pontoons, marina facilities, dock mooring, utility trailers, barrier applications, and general marine anchoring where ISO calibrated Grade 30 proof coil chain is specified. The product shall not be used for overhead lifting, crane lifting, or suspended load applications.
Maintenance Standards: Inspect the chain regularly for corrosion, excessive wear, elongated links, cracked welds, deformation, coating damage, and windlass compatibility. Chains showing excessive wear, damaged welds, or permanent deformation should be removed from service. Galvanized chains should be rinsed with fresh water after prolonged seawater exposure and inspected periodically to maintain anchoring performance and service life.
