Stud Link Anchor Chain is manufactured from flash butt welded steel links with an internal stud to improve strength and reduce link deformation under tensile loading. It is designed for ship anchoring and offshore mooring systems where high tensile strength, dimensional stability, and reliable load transmission are required. Standard chain diameters range from 12.5 mm to 90 mm, with larger sizes available upon request. The chain is supplied in 25 m or 27.5 m shots and is available in CM490 and CM690 steel grades with U1, U2, and U3 strength levels. Each chain is permanently marked for complete product traceability and can be supplied with matching shackles, swivels, end links, and anchors.
Stud Link Anchor Chain is the most widely used anchor chain for commercial ships, offshore platforms, naval vessels, and marine mooring systems. Each chain link contains an internal stud that increases rigidity, limits deformation during loading, and improves resistance to twisting and kinking while the chain passes through the windlass and chain locker.
The chain is manufactured by flash butt welding, followed by calibration, heat treatment, dimensional inspection, proof load testing, and breaking load testing. Standard products are available in U1, U2, and U3 grades using CM490 or CM690 steel, covering nominal diameters from 12.5 mm to 90 mm. Standard delivery length is 25 m or 27.5 m per shot, with individual shots connected by Kenter shackles or joining shackles to form the complete anchor cable.
Stud Link Anchor Chain is widely used on bulk carriers, container ships, tankers, LNG carriers, offshore platforms, FPSOs, port facilities, and naval vessels. Matching accessories include end shackles, swivels, enlarged end links, joining shackles, and anchors to form a complete anchoring system.
