Stainless Steel DIN 766 Anchor Link Chain is a welded short link chain manufactured to the dimensional requirements specified in DIN 766, ensuring compatibility with metric anchor windlasses used on yachts, sailing boats, fishing boats, motorboats, and other recreational or commercial vessels. The calibrated pitch and inside width allow smooth engagement with the windlass gypsy, reducing chain slip and ensuring reliable anchor deployment and retrieval.

The chain is manufactured from AISI 304 or AISI 316 stainless steel. AISI 304 is suitable for freshwater and general marine environments, while AISI 316 contains molybdenum to provide improved resistance to chloride corrosion, making it the preferred choice for long-term seawater service. Standard sizes range from 6 mm to 16 mm, with custom diameters available according to customer requirements.

Each chain is produced using electric resistance welding, followed by dimensional calibration, weld inspection, proof load testing, and mechanical property verification. The chain is widely used for anchor rodes, windlass systems, mooring lines, marina facilities, and dock installations. It is also suitable for decorative and marine utility applications where corrosion resistance is required. The product is intended for anchoring and mooring only and shall not be used for overhead lifting or suspended load applications.
