Matrosov Anchor is a High Holding Power (HHP) stockless anchor designed for commercial ships, inland vessels, barges, tugboats, and offshore applications. The anchor features two large closely spaced flukes connected to a central shank, allowing rapid penetration and stable embedment in sand, mud, and clay seabeds. Compared with conventional stockless anchors, the Matrosov Anchor provides significantly higher holding capacity under the same weight classification. Standard sizes range from 25 kg to 1,500 kg, with larger custom sizes available upon request. Manufactured in cast steel or fabricated welded steel, the anchor can be supplied with certification from ABS, BV, CCS, DNV, LR, NK, KR, RINA, RS, and RMRS

  • Introduction

Matrosov Anchor is a High Holding Power (HHP) anchor originally developed to improve holding efficiency while maintaining a compact stockless configuration. The anchor consists of a central shank, crown, and two wide flukes positioned closely together, allowing both flukes to penetrate the seabed simultaneously and develop greater holding resistance than conventional Hall-type anchors.

The anchor is manufactured from marine-grade cast steel or fabricated welded steel, depending on customer specifications and classification requirements. Production includes casting or fabrication, heat treatment, machining, dimensional inspection, proof load testing, and final inspection before delivery. Standard products are available from 25 kg to 1,500 kg, while larger capacities can be manufactured for special marine applications.

The Matrosov Anchor performs effectively in mud, clay, sand, and mixed seabed conditions, where the large fluke area provides rapid penetration and increased holding capacity. Because of its HHP classification, classification societies generally permit a reduction in anchor weight compared with conventional stockless anchors while maintaining equivalent holding performance, subject to applicable rules. The anchor is compatible with stud link anchor chains, end shackles, swivel groups, and other standard anchoring accessories.

    Parameter

Name: Matrosov High Holding Power (HHP) Anchor

    MOQ: 1 Piece

Package: Steel Pallet / Wooden Crate / Bulk Packing

Manufacturing Standards: Manufactured from marine-grade cast steel or fabricated welded steel in accordance with CB 57-77, IACS Unified Requirement A1, ISO 1704, and recognized marine anchor manufacturing specifications. Products are available with certification from ABS, BV, CCS, DNV, LR, NK, KR, RINA, RS, and RMRS according to customer requirements.

Testing Standards: Each anchor undergoes chemical composition verification, casting or welding inspection, dimensional inspection, heat treatment verification (where applicable), mechanical property testing, proof load testing, visual inspection, non-destructive examination (UT/MPI where applicable), suspension testing, and permanent identification marking before shipment. Material certificates, inspection reports, and classification society certificates are available upon request.

Application Standards: Suitable for commercial ships, inland vessels, tugboats, barges, fishing vessels, dredgers, offshore support vessels, floating docks, pontoons, and marine mooring systems operating on sand, mud, clay, and mixed seabeds where High Holding Power (HHP) anchors are specified.

Maintenance Standards: Inspect the anchor regularly for fluke wear, shank deformation, crown damage, weld or casting defects, corrosion, coating deterioration, and identification markings. Verify that the flukes rotate freely without excessive clearance. Inspection and maintenance should comply with the vessel's planned maintenance system and the requirements of the applicable classification society.
