G43 Hot Dip Galvanized Short Anchor Chain is a welded high-test carbon steel chain manufactured for anchor windlass systems, marine anchoring, and general utility applications. The short link construction is calibrated to provide smooth engagement with compatible windlass gypsies while reducing twisting and improving chain flexibility during deployment and retrieval. Compared with Grade 30 proof coil chain, Grade 43 provides a higher Working Load Limit for the same chain diameter, allowing reduced chain weight without sacrificing strength. The chain is supplied with a hot-dip galvanized coating for corrosion protection in freshwater and seawater environments and is not intended for overhead lifting.
When securing your vessel, the reliability of your anchoring system is paramount. The G43 Hot Dip Galvanized Short Anchor Chain is engineered specifically for this purpose, offering a superior combination of strength, durability, and corrosion resistance. As a "High Test" chain, Grade 43 is manufactured from high-tensile carbon steel, providing a significantly higher strength-to-weight ratio compared to standard proof coil chains.
Each link is calibrated to a uniform short pitch, ensuring a perfect fit and smooth operation with anchor windlasses. The entire chain is protected by a thick layer of hot-dip galvanization, offering robust defense against the corrosive effects of saltwater. This makes it the ideal choice for boat owners and marine operators who require a dependable, long-lasting anchor chain for all conditions. Please note, this chain is designed for anchoring and is not suitable for overhead lifting.
G43 Hot Dip Galvanized Short Anchor Chain is manufactured from high tensile carbon steel using electrically welded short link construction. The chain is designed for marine anchor systems where dimensional consistency and compatibility with anchor windlasses are required. Each link is calibrated to maintain uniform pitch and inside dimensions, allowing accurate engagement with standard windlass gypsies and reliable operation during anchoring.
The chain is available in a range of sizes for recreational boats, fishing vessels, workboats, pontoons, and small commercial vessels. Compared with Grade 30 proof coil chain, Grade 43 High Test chain provides greater tensile capacity while maintaining the same nominal chain size, making it suitable for applications where higher strength and reduced bow weight are required. Standard finishes include hot-dip galvanized for long-term corrosion protection, with additional finishes available upon request.
Every production batch undergoes weld inspection, dimensional calibration, proof load testing, mechanical property verification, and visual inspection before shipment. The chain is commonly used for anchor rodes, anchor windlass systems, dock mooring, utility chains, and general marine applications, but shall not be used for overhead lifting or suspended load handling.
Our G43 Short Anchor Chain is available in a wide range of sizes to meet the needs of any vessel. The table below details the full specifications for each diameter.
