TOPONE Grade 60 Stainless Steel Lifting Chain combines high lifting strength with reliable corrosion resistance. AISI 316L and AISI 318LN Duplex options cover diameters from 3 mm to 26 mm and Working Load Limits from 0.20 t to 15.00 t. Its blasted stainless steel surface requires no paint, galvanizing or protective coating.
Grade 60 Stainless Steel Lifting Chain is an electrically welded short-link chain designed for load lifting in corrosive or hygiene-sensitive environments. It suits food processing, pharmaceutical production, chemical plants, wastewater treatment, salt handling, marine engineering and other applications where ordinary carbon steel chain may corrode or contaminate equipment.
Standard sizes use AISI 316L stainless steel, while larger sizes use AISI 318LN Duplex stainless steel for higher mechanical strength and improved resistance to pitting and stress corrosion in chloride-rich environments.
The chain can be supplied in cut lengths or assembled into single-leg and multi-leg chain slings with compatible Grade 60 stainless steel components. It is a medium-tolerance sling chain and must not be used as a load chain in manual or electric hoists unless separately manufactured and calibrated for the relevant pocket wheel.

The listed WLL applies to a straight, vertical chain leg. Sling angle, load symmetry, temperature and operating conditions can reduce the permitted capacity. Always follow the WLL shown on the identification tag and product certificate supplied with the finished chain sling.
The chain uses dimensions similar to DIN 5687 and the dimensional principles of EN 818-2. Because EN 818-2 specifically covers Grade 8 medium-tolerance chain, “similar to EN 818-2” must not be interpreted as EN 818-2 certification for Grade 60 stainless steel chain.
ISO 1834 may provide the general acceptance requirements for electrically welded short-link lifting chain when specified in the purchase order and confirmed by the product certificate.
Production inspection includes material verification, visual inspection, weld inspection, dimensional verification, manufacturing proof testing and breaking-load verification. The minimum breaking force must be at least four times the stated WLL.
Qualification testing includes fatigue verification for at least 20,000 load cycles when required by the agreed standard or purchase specification. Each chain batch must retain material and manufacturing traceability. Every completed chain sling must carry an individual serial number, identification tag and inspection certificate.
Completed Grade 60 stainless steel chain slings use manufacturer-specific Grade 60 WLL tables and may follow a construction similar to DIN 5688-1. Grade 80 sling capacities from EN 818-4 must not be applied directly to Grade 60 chain.
All master links, connecting links, shortening devices and hooks must be compatible with the chain diameter and Grade 60 WLL. The lowest-rated component determines the capacity of the completed assembly.
Inspection and maintenance may follow ISO 3056 together with the manufacturer’s instructions. Inspect the chain for cracks, link deformation, elongation, wear, pitting, damaged welds and loss of diameter.
Rinse the chain after exposure to seawater, brine or compatible chemicals, dry it before storage and prevent contamination from carbon-steel tools or grinding particles. Do not weld, heat, bend, galvanize, paint or otherwise coat a finished Grade 60 stainless steel lifting chain.
