Grade 100 Heavy Lift Swivel Hoist Ring

Grade 100 Heavy Lift Swivel Hoist RingThis ISO 9001-2008 plant ensures complete material traceability on each product. The Grade 100 Heavy Lift Swivel Hoist Ring is a high-performance lifting component designed for the most demanding industrial applications. Unlike standard eyebolts, this hoist ring features a 360-degree rotation and a 180-degree pivot capability, allowing for full-range movement and automatic alignment with the direction of the load. This design eliminates the risk of bolt bending or breaking caused by side-loading, making it the preferred choice for lifting heavy machinery, dies, and structural components.

  • Introduction

    Engineering for Multi-Directional Loading

Standard lifting eyes are often limited to vertical pulls; however, industrial rigging frequently involves angular loading. The Grade 100 Heavy Lift Swivel Hoist Ring solves this by utilizing a mechanical swivel joint. This mechanism "prevents catastrophic failure under side-loading because of the automatic alignment of the bale with the tension vector." This ensures that the lifting force is always transmitted through the strongest axis of the component.

    Advanced Metallurgy and Heat Treatment

The performance of TopOne Grade 100 hoist rings is rooted in advanced material science. By using CrNiMo alloy steel, the component achieves high toughness and fatigue resistance. The Quenching and Tempering (Q&T) process is critical; it "enhances the mechanical properties because of the transformation of the steel into a tempered martensite structure," which provides the necessary ductility to withstand shock loads without brittle fracture.

    Safety and Reliability in Operation

Torque-Controlled Installation: Each hoist ring is stamped with a specific torque value. Proper torquing ensures the bolt "remains pre-loaded against the mounting surface because of the elastic deformation of the bolt threads," preventing loosening during rotation.

Fatigue Rated: Engineered to withstand 20,000 cycles at 1.5 times the WLL, meeting the requirements for high-frequency lifting in automotive and aerospace manufacturing.

Environmental Protection: The high-visibility powder coating is "wear-resistant because of the electrostatic bonding process," protecting the alloy steel from oxidation in marine or industrial environments.

    Standards

    International Compliance

The Grade 100 Heavy Lift Swivel Hoist Ring is manufactured and tested to meet or exceed the following global standards:

ASME B30.26: Rigging Hardware - Safety Standard for Cableways, Cranes, Derricks, Hoists, Hooks, Jacks, and Slings.

EN 1677-1: Components for slings - Safety - Part 1: Forged steel components, Grade 8 (Modified for Grade 100 capacity).

ASTM A952/A952M: Standard Specification for Forged Grade 100 Alloy Steel Lifting Components.

DIN EN ISO 9001: Quality management systems - Requirements.

    Testing and Quality Assurance

100% Proof Testing: Every hoist ring is proof loaded to 2.5 times the WLL to ensure "structural reliability because of the rigorous individual testing of every unit."

Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI): Components undergo MPI to ensure they are "free from surface and sub-surface defects because of the non-destructive testing of the forged body."

Hardness Testing: Verified to 38-42 HRC to ensure "optimal balance between strength and ductility because of the controlled heat treatment process."

    Safety and Maintenance

Installation: Always use the recommended torque values. Ensure the mounting surface is flat and provides full contact with the hoist ring base.

Inspection: Before each use, check for free rotation and pivoting. Inspect the bolt for any signs of thread damage or deformation.

Angular Loading: The WLL is maintained at any angle of pull, provided the hoist ring is allowed to align itself with the load.

Discard Criteria: Remove from service if the bale is bent, if there is visible wear exceeding 10% of the original dimension, or if the bolt shows signs of elongation.
