Grade 100 DOS Chain Sling is a double-leg lifting assembly manufactured from quenched and tempered Grade 100 alloy steel chain and components. The sling is fitted with a Grade 100 oblong master link on the top and two Grade 100 sling hooks with safety latches on the bottom, providing secure two-point load attachment for overhead lifting applications. Compared with Grade 80 slings, the Grade 100 design offers approximately 25% higher Working Load Limit for the same chain size. Each sling is permanently identified with a serial number, chain size, grade, exact sling length, and Working Load Limit to ensure complete product traceability.
Grade 100 DOS Chain Sling is a double-leg lifting assembly manufactured from quenched and tempered Grade 100 alloy steel chain and components. The sling is equipped with a Grade 100 oblong master link on the top and two Grade 100 sling hooks with safety latches on the bottom, making it suitable for heavy-duty lifting applications requiring secure two-point load attachment and balanced load distribution.
Compared with Grade 80 chain slings, Grade 100 slings provide approximately 25% higher Working Load Limit for the same chain size while maintaining a 4:1 design factor. The sling hooks feature spring-loaded safety latches to help reduce the risk of accidental disengagement during lifting, while the double-leg configuration distributes lifting forces evenly between two lifting points for improved stability and control.
D = Double Leg
O = Oblong Master Link
S = Sling Hook with Safety Latch
DOS therefore refers to a Double Leg Chain Sling fitted with an Oblong Master Link on the top and Two Sling Hooks with Safety Latches on the bottom.
Each sling is permanently identified with:
Individual Serial Number
Chain Size
Chain Grade
Exact Sling Length
Working Load Limit (WLL)
The serial number on the identification tag corresponds with the written certification and sales order record, ensuring complete product traceability throughout its service life.

Item No. – Unique product identification number for each chain size.
Trade Size (in.) – Nominal diameter of the lifting chain, measured in inches.
1 Leg – Working Load Limit (WLL) for a single-leg chain sling in a vertical lift (90°).
2 Legs – Working Load Limit (WLL) for a two-leg chain sling at different sling angles.
3 & 4 Legs – Working Load Limit (WLL) for three-leg and four-leg chain slings at different sling angles.
Continuous Sling – Working Load Limit (WLL) for a continuous (endless) chain sling configuration.
Factor – Load factor applied according to the sling configuration and sling angle to determine the Working Load Limit.
0° < α < 45° – Sling angle measured from the vertical. This angle range provides the higher Working Load Limit for multi-leg slings.
45° < α < 60° – Sling angle measured from the vertical. As the sling angle increases, the Working Load Limit is reduced.
Working Load Limit (lbs) – Maximum allowable load that the sling can safely lift under the specified configuration and angle. Values are shown in pounds (lbs).

Manufacturing Standards: Manufactured from quenched and tempered Grade 100 alloy steel chain and components in accordance with EN 818-2, EN 1677-1, EN 1677-2, EN 1677-4, ASME B30.9, OSHA 1910.184, AS 2321, and ISO 3077 requirements for Grade 100 lifting chain sling assemblies.
Testing Standards: Manufactured with a minimum design factor of 4:1. Each sling is proof tested, visually inspected, dimensionally verified, and checked for component compatibility before shipment. The chain complies with EN 818 fatigue requirements and successfully withstands 20,000 load cycles at 1.5 times the Working Load Limit (WLL). Every sling is supplied with an individual serial number, identification tag, written certification, and complete traceability records.
Application Standards: Suitable for overhead lifting, two-point lifting, heavy machinery handling, structural steel erection, equipment installation, construction projects, mining maintenance, and industrial material handling operations.
Maintenance Standards: Inspect before each use for chain elongation, excessive wear, cracks, corrosion, sling hook deformation, safety latch operation, damaged master links, connecting links, and missing identification tags. Remove the sling from service immediately if defects exceed the applicable inspection criteria.
